How contest will make you traffic and money, step by step here
Hello all;
Have you ever came across any contest online?
Guess what, instead of they giving us money, they already sold us.
Think of that, really make me laughing.
Here, what I mean. I myself not really in international market (yet).
But, this work for my local market.
Competition.
People love free money (read : opportunity to make money)
When you offer a chance to win easy money, they are a lot of replies you will get.
Ok, to make it short, I will explain step by step what have I doing.
This “awesomely” (is there any word like that
) work for those who have blog and autoresponder.
1. Post an entry to your blog. State there you are going to do a small contest.
2. Set the rules as easy as it can be.
3. Make sure you put viral element in your contest such as,
- tweet this sentence (which inlude the your contest url)
- post this quote to blog
- etc
4. State clearly what present you offer for a winner. I suggest, it is not a cash, unless it is so much
Here are some contest idea:
- Top Comment contest
- tweet contest
- newsletter contest
- referal contest
- affiliate contest
- best review contest
- etc
I hope this will help you start your own empire……and your own follower
About monetizing;
Remember that I have said about viral element?
From there, you will get a traffic booster.
As most of us aware, traffic is money.
Besides monetize indirectly, you can even ask for sponsorship.
One of the way I did before, is referal contest.
Those who get the highest referal from my report, will be the winner.
Inside the report, I place some ads placement.
Then, I ask for sponsorship from colleagues. I tell them, what the pottential and
the benefit they can get from sponsoring my viral report….

5 Ways to Destroy Your Website
Step 1 – Write Dull, Dreary, Rubbish
The trick here, it seems, is to find the most spectacularly un-interesting aspect of your business (when you were established, how many offices you have, and so on) and write copious amounts about that. Remember always to end with “we fulfil all our client’s needs”.
The shocking truth of us humans is that most of the time we are only interested in ourselves and our problems. So, if someone is visiting your website they couldn’t give a monkey’s that you “tailor your service” because it doesn’t mean anything to them. This is what they really want to know:
- The benefit your product/service will be to them.
- That you understand their problem and can explain it back to them.
- How you can help them move from ‘pain’ (not using you) to ‘pleasure’ (using you) in clear terms.
- That you want them to act now so that you can immediately help them.
TIP: If you’re struggling to find a structure for your pages use the AIDA technique;
Attention – grab them with a headline
Interest – focus their interest (with a statistic, for example)
Desire – tell them the benefits of your product/service
Action – tell them what to do next (fill in form, pick up phone, read more, etc)
STEP 2 – Ignore Google
More than 4.5 billion searches are done on Google each month plus they have 90% share of the UK search market. Clearly, you should ignore these guys!
Very few businesses take search engine optimisation seriously. Everyone wants to be at the top of Google but when they find out what they have to do, they give up. (Hurray, more opportunity for the rest of us!) The truth is that SEO is a demanding exercise, you will probably need some outside support but there is still a huge amount you can do on your own. (Here are 5 things to get you started you can do right now to get free traffic.) The trick to high rankings is to be consistent: do a couple of hours every week and you’ll soon begin to see the rewards.
Getting free traffic to your web site is one thing but did you know that you can pay for traffic? Google run an advertising system which displays appropriate adverts when keywords are typed into their search engine (rather unimaginatively called Google AdWords). You only pay Google when someone clicks on your advert. In other words, you only pay when someone is interested in your product or service. When used properly this system can make your business a fortune (several of my customers run million-dollar businesses built entirely on Google AdWords). Here’s some free help on Paid Traffic, Instant Results.
Here’s the really crazy thing. It’s not unusual for me to have a conversation with a customer who has never done any SEO or Google AWords and yet refuses to try. They don’t want to try because they’re frightened it won’t work. Here’s my advice on what you can do if you’re faced with the Doubting Thomas’s – fire, gag or otherwise ignore them! There is always someone who will take pleasure in trying to rain on your parade. Simply do it anyway and when it’s a roaring success… well, you’ll think of something.
STEP 3 – Quick! It’s a Potential Customer, Ignore Them!
This can render your website almost totally pointless in one half-witted step. It takes real guts to utterly ignore your visitor but thousands and thousands of websites do it every day. It appears that some businesses are happy for you to visit their website but don’t want to be inconvenienced by you actually making contact with them.
This is borne out by the sad truth that on average 99% of visitors leave websites without first leaving their contact details. If that statistic held true in the real world most of us would be out of business in week!
The great thing is it’s mind numbingly easy to double, triple or quadruple your website’s profits by doing this one simple thing: give something away for free on your website in exchange for your visitor’s contact details. It could be anything; a free report, some consultancy time, a podcast, an e-book, anything you like. I have personally seen responses jump from 1% to 25% just using this one tactic. If you would like to read more about this strategy check out my Get More Sales page where you can see this approach in action (look at the form at the bottom of the page and sign-up to see what happens).
STEP 4 – Never Measure Anything
The last thing you want to do is find out that your website isn’t making any money (or worse, is accidentally making a huge amount of money).
Websites cost thousands of pounds to build and maintain so given that investment it’s very important to make sure you haven’t a clue about whether you’re getting a return. (This is sometimes known as a tax write-off!)
Put simply, you can’t improve what you don’t know. The amazing thing about the online world is that it gives you access to the kind of information that ‘real world’ marketers can only dream about. For example, the date and time people landed on your website, where they came from, what keywords they typed in to get there, how long they stayed on the page, whether they filled in your form, how many sales of a product you made versus how many people saw the product – the list is endless. (Google Analytics does all this and more for free.)
If you aren’t finding out this stuff then you are missing out because everything you learn about how people interact with your site enables you to improve it. Improving your site so more people can become customers is like giving yourself a pay rise every month – it would be dumb not to do it.
Tip: Find out exactly how much money your website is making using my unique Profit Calculator.
STEP 5 – Website, What Website?
Well, you’ve worked really hard destroying your website now it’s time to sit back and relax. In fact, now it’s time to sit back and completely forget that you have a website at all.
To really complete this task you should make sure that your news page is at least two years out of date, your price list is last year’s and that your chairman’s message refers to a managing director he fired nine months previously.
More and more consumers and businesses are using the Internet to find suppliers of products and services. This makes placing your website at the heart of your business even more vital than before. Keeping its content vibrant and up-to-date will make the world of difference to your visitor’s understanding of your business and the likelihood of them becoming a customer.
If you want your website to be a success (rather than a costly debacle) here’s a quick summary of what you need to do:
- Write compelling copy that talks about your reader and your benefits.
- Get started on some search engine optimisation and give Google AdWords a try.
- Give something away for free on your website in exchange for your visitor’s contact details.
- Get yourself signed up to Google Analytics, check out my Profit Calculator and give yourself that pay rise.
- Make your website the heart of your business and keep it bang up-to-date.
Good luck and here’s to your website success!

Tips for improving adsense revenue
I got an email from adsense itself. Cool huh,
Here what they said;
Hi Raja Mohd Kamil,
Thanks for attending our Optimization Workshop. We hope that you found the optimization tips and best practices useful. Unfortunately, after checking with our communication team, we are unable to send over the presentation file. However, below we’ve provided a summary of tips to improve the performance of your Google ads. Once again, we wanted to point out that even simple adjustments to the placement or the look of Google ads can make a major impact on your revenue.
1. AD LAYOUTS AND FORMATS
—————————————-
The Colors Of The Rainbow
—————————————-
If you want the biggest revenue impact for the smallest effort, we recommend optimizing the colors used in your ad units. It can increase your revenue up to 4x and choosing the right palettes can mean the difference between ads your users will notice — and click — and ads they’ll skip right over. So, don’t just use the default color palettes and don’t be afraid to experiment with the colors.
For more information on how to best work with colors, please visit http://google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=17957 .
—————————————-
Ads Without Borders
—————————————-
Try removing the borders on the ad units by using the same color as the color of the ad unit background. This type of change alone has proven to increase publishers’ revenue by more than 50% and it will provide a more consistent user experience throughout your site. Even with well-blended ads on your site, the ‘Ads by Google’ label keeps the ads distinguishable from your content to ensure that your users aren’t confused.
Still, sometimes using borders might work better for you. In this case, don’t forget that you can choose between square, slightly rounded, or very rounded corners to make sure the ad layout fits into your site’s look and feel.
—————————————-
Wider Is Better
—————————————-
Use a wide skyscraper (160×600) instead of a regular skyscraper (120×600) and try using rectangles as much as you can. For example the medium rectangle (300×250) is our best performing ad format.
The success of the wider ad units is likely due to a few reasons:
- Advertisers placement targeting your site are often interested in branding and visibility, therefore they opt for larger, more visible ad formats, supporting rich media (flash, video and gadget) as well as image ads.
- Changing to wider sizes increases competition among ads to appear in the unit, which traditionally results in higher CPMs.
- The wider formats allow for more horizontal text, which is easier for users to read and therefore more likely to be noticed and clicked on.
However always make sure that the formats you’re using fit into the space and the design of your pages. For a full list of the available ad formats, please visit https://www.google.com/adsense/adformats .
—————————————-
Images Speak Louder Than Words
—————————————-
If you chose to show only text ads, you might be loosing revenue. Opt into image ads by changing your ad units. By choosing to display image ads in addition to text ads, you’ll gain access to a whole new set of advertisers and campaigns. Make sure your Ad Type Preference, under the My Account tab, is set to ‘Display text and image ads in all ad units.’
If you chose not to show image ads because you have direct advertisers with image or rich media campaigns you can take advantage of our filtering features to prevent their ads from appearing in your AdSense units.
- To filter contextually targeted ads use the Competitive Ad Filter. For more information visithttps://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/topic.py?topic=154 .
- To review and eventually prevent specific placement targeted ads from appearing use the Ad Review Center. For more information visit https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/topic.py?topic=13522 .
However, don’t forget that filtering too many sites will decrease the number of ads that can appear on your pages, thereby decreasing your potential AdSense earnings. Keep your filter list as concise as possible.
2. AD PLACEMENTS
—————————————-
Location, Location, Location
—————————————-
Make sure you place the ads where your users will see them. For example, most visitors will not scroll below the fold line and this is why ads “above the fold” are considered premium placements and are so popular among advertisers and users. In the same way, people often look for menu bars on the left side of a page so ads in that location are “hot.”
Place the ads in a location which will complement users’ behavior. Based on previous testing, integrating ad units into the page content, navigation, or article text provides a better user experience, as it gives your users relevant ads in addition to the content they normally see. For example placing a rectangle in the middle of a long article not only helps your visitors read those ads, but it also gives them a visual break. At the same time users are often interested in the supplemental ad content above, below, or between your articles, which will garner additional activity on your ads.
Check our “heat maps” to see what are the hot spots for different types of sites:
- https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=43868 (heat map for forums)
- https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=43869 (heat map for blogs)
For more examples of how to effectively place different ad formats on a page, please visithttps://www.google.com/adsense/adformats and click on ‘View Sample Placements’ above each format.
—————————————-
The Effect of Exposure
—————————————-
To maximize the revenue potential of your site make sure that you’ve placed Google ads on as many text-based content pages of your sites as possible.
—————————————-
The More The Merrier
—————————————-
To optimize your performance by leveraging our inventory of ads you might use up to 3 ad units on each page. Multiple ad units may prove particularly successful for:
- Pages with lots of text, requiring users to scroll down the page.
- Forum or message board pages, particularly within threads.
- Pages where only smaller ad formats (such as the 125 x125 button) will fit.
—————————————-
The Winner Takes It All
—————————————-
To maximize your revenue you can use up to 3 ad units on any page. However make sure that the ad unit with the highest CTR is the first ad unit in the HTML code of your page. It will show the top, most expensive ads that win the ad auction. For example, if you use DIV tags, our system may recognize an ad unit which users see at the bottom of the page as the first ad unit. To determine which of your ad units has the highest CTR, and then placing that ad unit first in the HTML code. To determine which ad unit has the highest CTR, we recommend using custom channels. Read more at https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=9869 .
—————————————-
Don’t Play Hide And Seek With Advertisers
—————————————-
Use our new placements feature to make your site, specific pages or placements even more attractive to advertisers. This will increase the visibility of your placements and will help advertisers to find you more easily. The increased competition among advertisers should lead to increased earnings for you. For more information on how to create placements, please visithttps://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=47413 .
3. IMPORTANT SOURCES OF EVEN MORE REVENUE
—————————————-
The Search For The Golden Egg
—————————————-
Do you make the most out of the search functionality on your site? With AdSense for Search you’ll provide your users with additional useful information and you’ll monetize the Google search results pages with our relevant ads.
The search results pages can be customized to fit the overall look and feel of your website, and you’ll be paid for every valid click on the ads that appear on results pages.
- Place your search boxes in visible, easy-to-find locations, such as under the header or in your left navigation. Also, keep the placement of your search boxes consistent on all your pages, so users will know where to look if they need help finding something.
- Add two search boxes to content-rich, long pages – one at the top and one at the bottom of the page.
- Host your search results on your own site. This will keep users on your page and if they don’t find what they’re looking for in the search results or ads, they’ll still be able to to navigate to other sections of your site using your site’s template. For more information, please visithttps://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=43862 .
- Add a search box to your search results pages so users can perform additional searches from your site.
- Last but not least customize your ad locations. Place ads at the top and right sidebar of your search results pages. This layout offers added visibility, and our tests have shown that these ad locations can improve monetization.
To set up AdSense for search on your site, just visit your AdSense Setup tab and select ‘AdSense for search’ as your product. If you’d like to learn more about the new features available for AdSense for search, visit http://www.google.com/support/customsearch/?hl=en .
—————————————-
The Power Of Linking
—————————————-
Don’t underestimate the link units. You can add up to 3 link units per page to provide additional targeted advertising for your users. Link units are also space-efficient and can provide a monetizing solution for smaller spaces on your site. For example link units have proven to be really efficient in forums. To learn more, please visit https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=18300 .
AND FINALLY:
- Don’t be afraid to experiment. Even small changes can have a big impact.
- Use channels to track the performance of different colors, formats, placements and AdSense products and allow at least 2 weeks for each change to show its effect on your earnings.
- And remember high-quality, original content is the king.

Adsense banned, what to do know ? My advice
after reading an article on squidoo and hubpages, I could be wrong but it sounded like squidoo actually uses their adsense account to collect earnings, and then pays you. SO my advice to you if you got banned from adsense and are currently lost as of what to do is to obviously look into other ppc company’s out there but also check out squidoo. If you are a good writer you could make a few bucks and not have to worry about your adsense account being banned or not.
I hope the source that claims you dont need an adsense account on squidoo was correct, i didn’t take the time to check =(

Making Money With Domain Names!
Making money with Domain Names is never easy. It takes me a couple of years before i really mastered the skills in getting good Domain Names. I have sold many Domain names on ebay. The truth is that there are times i made losses and there are times i made profit. Some were actually big gains. Some were small gains. This is real business. So this is not a fast way to make Quick Money
Couple of tips in Choosing Good Domain Names:
1) Two Word Domain Name ( Better still One word)
2) Good Keywords ( Keywords that make sense.)

I have been bloggin since 4 years ago. In the middle of that, I stopped for about 2 years. I return to write the blog seriously at the las year. July 2008.
Since then, I have written a lot of articles in various topic such as, how-to , motivational, religious etc.
I wrote all the articles for the sake of of writing. I never intend to influence somebody until the very last question asked above by my friend.
Thanks for him. I should know that, with a pen, I can change the world. With a pen, some country get their independence and some lose theirs.
With a pen, someone can revert to the right path and others lose the path.
I really hope that I can be someone that can change someone else.
